About

The South Shore Anchors are a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit that play in Division II of the New England Rugby Football Union(NERFU). The Anchors roster includes players from all walks of life, continents and levels of experience. They have about 30-40 active players and field two teams. The anchors also field an old boys side called the “Rusty Anchors” for 35+ aged veterans. A U-19 side has also been added with High School and College players from around the South Shore.

The South Shore Anchors goal is to play, serve and promote the game of rugby in accordance with the USA and New England Rugby Football Unions on the South Shore of Massachusetts. We encourage and invite all players, spectators, friends and family to join us on or off the field.   We are not only a club on the rugby field, but off it as well.   The Anchors are committed to doing charity work throughout the South Shore and greater Boston area.   We have members from Boston to Cape Cod , stretching as far as Metro West.

If you are here for summer, school, or are on a short-term placement, the Anchors take great pride in our hospitality and welcome visiting players. It would be our pleasure to help out in any way. We take great pride in our rugby, but more importantly we take great pride in our club!

The Team Welcomes athletes of all size and skill, training twice a week: Tuesday and Thursday 7-9pm in Weymouth.
