ANCHORS

SENIOR MEN DIVISION III, NEW ENGLAND RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION

In the fall of 2019, our Senior Men’s side dominated NERFU Division II, outscoring opponents 333-97 en route to a 7-0 campaign. Following that, the pandemic slowed our activity (like all other rugby clubs) and we have been working to get back to our past levels of success. In 2024, the Anchors will compete in NERFU Division III, with the main goal being to secure promotion back to NERFU Division II.

As part of a club committed to diversity, a sense of community, competitive spirit, and the joy of rugby, we welcome new members of all experience levels. If interested or even just curious, send us a message through the JOIN page.

HISTORY
The Anchors were founded in August 1999, and subsequently established our first Executive Board and joined NERFU in 2000. Started by a scrappy group of local ruggers, the Anchors have built the foundation of our community club based on the commitment, hard work and integrity first demonstrated by those original members. Many of those founding members are still active in the club, whether serving on the board or graduating to play for the Rusty Anchors.

Original Executive Board (Bold Indicates Active Members):
