Sirens
SENIOR WOMEN DIVISION III, NEW ENGLAND RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION
South Shore RFC added a women’s side, The Sirens, in 2018, and after less than one year of exhibition play, the Sirens earned entry to Division 3 of the New England Rugby Football Union.
They took that momentum into the 7s season, earning a 3-2 record and third-place finish at the Newport 7s Tournament, holding four of five opponents to 12 points or less. The following week, the Sirens went 3-1 at the Boston 7s. In the fall of 2019, they brought fire and spirit to their first-ever season in NERFU D3 competition, finishing in second place with a 3-1 record.
The Sirens finished the 2022 Fall season with an undefeated record as the NERFU D3 Women’s Champions, securing their spot at the Atlantic Super Regional where they took home the Atlantic D3 Women’s Title!
In 2023, the Sirens defended their title as the NERFU D3 Women’s Champions with a win over Amokseag in the Championship before losing to North Bay in the Atlantic Super Regional semi-finals.
